Orland Hills/Fernway: Planned Water System Improvements & Boil Order
Hello! This is an important notification from Illinois American Water. Our contractor will be replacing main line valve in Orland Hills (Fernway). Weather Permitting, the project will start on 4/16/2025 at 8:00 am and be completed by approximately 4/16/2025 at 3:00 pm You reside in the affected area and may experience a service interruption or low water pressure. Repairs are expected to take 7 hours to complete.At that time you will be under a Boil Water Order. We will notify you when this Boil Water Order is lifted. Any water to be used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for 5 minutes. Water is OK for bathing, laundry, and other common uses. You will be notified when the boil order has been lifted.If you are a landlord and water service is in your name, please inform your tenants so they are aware of this impact to their water service.
