St. Albans/South Charleston: Lifted Boil Water Order

Thank youWest Virginia American Water has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory for approximately 1908 customers in the Green Valley Drive Area of St. Albans along with Hampshire Drive, Route 60 and adjoining streets, Avesta Drive, Kentucky Street, Ohio Street, Kanawha Turnpike, Village Drive, Ridge Road and the surrounding streets in South Charleston. The advisory followed a water main break, which crews have since repaired.Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards. Therefore, there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. Customers will be notified by the American Water Alert Notification System.West Virginia American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with other West Virginia American Water customers in the affected area.
