Belleville: E Main St.: No Water Due to Mainbreak with Boil Water Order
This is an urgent notification from Illinois American Water. Our crews are making emergency repairs due to a Main Break beginning at 2:00 pm on December 4, 2023 in Belleville. You reside in the affected area and may experience a service interruption or low water pressure. Repairs are expected to take approximately 8 hours to complete.
At this time you are under a Boil Water Order. We will notify you when this Boil Water Order is lifted. Any water to be used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for 5 minutes. Water is OK for bathing, laundry, and other common uses. You will be notified when the boil order has been lifted.
If you are a landlord and water service is in your name, please inform your tenants so they are aware of this impact to their water service. In keeping with American Water’s focus on safety for both customers and employees, please do not approach our crews while they work.
