As part of our commitment to identifying and removing all lead and galvanized service lines by 2031, our qualified contractor, Montana Construction, will be working along CADMUS CT, DAVEY DR, CURRY LN, KNUTSEN DR, BAYOWSKI RD, LAPIS CIR, CUNNINGHAM DR, ROSEMONT TER, MAYFAIR DR, RONALD TER, MULLARKEY DR, CUMMINGS CIR, MORAN RD, MARIE TER, BARTON DR, WAKEMAN ST, EDGEMONT RD, FERRIS DR, BEECHWOOD TER, GREENWOOD AVETPX22, WHITMAN ST, DALE DR, BEASLEY ST, SWAYZE ST, and STANFORD AVE  beginning on Monday March 30th, 2026 to identify unknown service line material. The service line is the pipe that connects a home to the water main in the street. A portion of the service line to the residence is owned by New Jersey American Water, while the other portion is owned by the homeowner. One or both portions of the service line may be exposed for inspection. This will be completed on a block-by-block basis by performing a “test hole” near the water meter or curb stop in front of each home. Please note that water service will not be impacted by this test hole work. If it is discovered that a portion of the service line contains lead or galvanized piping, we will work with the homeowner to schedule its replacement, potentially including the portion entering the homeowner's basement or crawlspace. Our goal is to replace 100% of all lead and galvanized service lines under this program. There is no direct, out of pocket cost to the homeowner at the time of the replacement and no employee or contractor will ask for payment at any time.If you are a landlord and water service is in your name, please inform your tenants so they are aware of the project.
