New Castle: Planned Improvements:
This is an important notification from Pennsylvania American
Water. Contractors will begin working in your area February 23rd to replace
service lines as part of our lead service replacements. Contractors will be
working from 7 am to 5 pm on the following streets: Delaware Ave, Edgewood Ave,
E Hazelcroft Ave, E Meyer Ave, Highland Ave, and E Northview Ave in New Castle.
Inspectors have begun and will continue to assess the type of material our
customers’ water service lines are made of. Water service lines connect our
water main to your home or property and can be made of copper, plastic,
galvanized steel or lead. If you have already responded to our service line
material survey, thank you for your response. If you have not responded, please
do so today at pennsylvaniaamwater.com/lead facts. If you do not respond, we
may contact you or come to your door. All Pennsylvania American Water
representatives will carry official company photo I.D. badges and wear logoed,
high visibility vests. Your assistance is very important in helping us meet the
goal of identifying and replacing lead service lines. If you are a landlord,
please forward this information to your tenants. If
you already have an identified lead or galvanized service line, our contractor
will contact you with the next steps for replacement. For more information,
