Alexandria: Pavement Restoration

This is an notification from Virginia American Water.  Our contractor will restore pavement of the water pipe trench on East Walnut Street (from Commonwealth Ave to Mt Vernon Ave), Mount Vernon Ave (from East Oak Street to East Walnut Street), and Little Street (from East Oak Street to East Linden Street)  between December 8 and December 31. Work will take place Monday through Friday, with Saturday work as needed, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.It is important to note that our contractor will try to keep one traffic lane open at all times to local traffic, as long as it can be done safely. Construction does not impact access to homes and driveways of residents. Please follow traffic control and the “NO PARKING” signage that will be posted by the City of Alexandria. Some construction noise will be unavoidable with this project, but our contractor will work to minimize the disturbance.
